Here’s an example of a short but oh so sweet golf tour including some of the very best golf courses our country has to offer.  Visit the fairest Cape of all and spoil yourself to the rich culture and sightseeing of Cape Town, the Mother City.  The beauty of the Garden Route, one of the most unspoiled coastal forest regions in the world, will leave you in awe as you move on to the Kruger National Park for an unforgettable safari experience.  Play great courses such as Fancourt Links and Leopard Creek in South Africa.

Day 1
You will be met on arrival at Cape Town International Airport by a Road Travel representative who will assist you with collecting your rental vehicle at the airport and road assist to the Cape Grace Hotel.  After settling in, explore Cape Town City at your own pace.  We recommend a visit to the Dutch East India Company Castle and museum. Built 2 days after the arrival of Jan van Riebeeck to the Cape, the “castle” was originally built as a fortress on the beach.  A cable car ride up Table Mountain (weather permitting) will offer you some of the most beautiful views in the world and afterwards you can enjoy traditional South African cuisine at one of the excellent restaurants around town.

Day 2
After enjoying breakfast, head for the fairways of Steenberg Golf Course, nestled in the lovely Constantia Valley.  The 18 hole championship golf course meanders though the vineyards, pine forests and gentle waterways.  Designed by Peter Matkovich, the golf course takes full advantage of natural features and hazards and is rated as one of the top three courses to visit in South Africa.  Enjoy the Steenberg Winery after your round, and discover how the oldest working wine farm in South Africa produces their world class wines. This afternoon you could visit some of the other award winning estates on the Constantia wine route, or the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Day 3
After breakfast you will meet up with your private wine expert tour guide for a full day tour of the Cape Winelands.  Taste award-winning vintages at the chateaux, made to the age-old Method Cap tradition.  Learn more about the wine making process and indulge in the history of each estate as well as the region’s rich past, dating back to the early days of the Dutch and French settlers of the 1600’s.  Enjoy award-winning cuisine at Franchhoek, the food capital of SA.

Day 4
Check out after breakfast and drive the breathtaking route east along the highway to Fancourt Hotel and Golf Resort on the Garden Route.  The Manor House, with history dating back to the beginnings of the 19th century, is situated in wooded parkland and is the perfect base for ultimate relaxation.  There is a wide range of activities to enjoy during your stay. The Health and Beauty Spa offers a complete range of refreshing and revitalising treatments, a gymnasium, tennis courts, squash court, lawn bowls, 2 outdoor pools, a heated indoor pool and Jacuzzi.
