We offer the most amazing motorcycle tours on the iconic BMW GS series of bikes (650/800/1200/1200A) which are all low mileage and current models, offering an excellent touring platform to enjoy the amazing roads and breath taking views this beautifully diverse country of ours has to offer.
Road Travel also offer the use of a small fleet of the amazing Can-Am Spyder Motorcycles. These are three wheelers in a reverse trike format, housing the powerful torque laden 1000cc v-twin as used in the Aprilia Mille bike (Rotax). Amazing handling, great acceleration (0 to 100 Kph in 4.5 secs). A comfortable tourer loaded with safety and dynamic performance features.
The scheduled dates for November 2011’s tours have been finalized. The first tour departs Cape Town on the 29th of October and finishes in Johannesburg on the 11th of November 2011. The basic route will be from Cape Town to Cape Agulhas (the southern most tip of Africa), Route 62 (on the Klein Karoo), through the Garden Route and Tsitsikamma Forest, then onto Hogsback, the Wild Coast, the stunning Oribi Gorge, to St Lucia Estuary, through Swaziland, then Kruger National Park, through the Lowveld to Johannesburg.
The second tour will depart Johannesburg on the 13th of November and finishes in Cape Town on the 26th of November 2011. The basic route is tour one in reverse, and will be from Johannesburg through the Lowveld to the Kruger National Park, on through Swaziland, to St Lucia Estuary, Oribi Gorge, then the Wild Coast onto Hogsback (inspiration for much of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings), through to Tsitsikamma Forest (enjoying an exciting canopy tour there), through the Garden Route to Route 62, then Cape Agulhas and lastly ride into Cape Town, with a magnificent ride through the Peninsula.
