The original African green herbal balm

In 1903 the new product ‘Zam-Buk’, an African ointment made of beeswax, oils of eucalyptus, camphor, red thyme and pine, which promised to relieve or cure all sorts of ailments, started to appear on chemists’ shelves in Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Apparently it was discovered by a Boer War veteran and for the first-half of the 20th century it was a very popular product commonly referred to as the ‘miracle treatment’ and used as a useful embrocation for many ailments.

The original and authentic green herbal ointment has been South Africa’s favorite healing product for over a century and is loved by users all over the world.   The distinctive healing properties of the original Zam-Buk ointment include improving the appearance of aging, dehydrated, damaged and sunburnt skin, cracked heels, scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and uneven skin tone.

New Zam-Buk products such as the multi-purpose Body Oil, contain natural oils such as Rose Hip, Grape Seed, Avocado, and other essential oils, as well as Vitamin E which are all known for their skin rejuvenating benefits. This helps maintains the balance between dry and oily skin as it boosts the skin’s ability to resist harsh conditions by recreating the skin’s protective barrier.  It does so by using all the essential ingredients to moisturize, repair, hydrate, nourish and protect the skin.
