Selecting Accomodation

When it comes to selecting accommodation venues for our clients stay, we at Road Travel give first preference to those venues that we have seen and stayed at, placed clients with and the tourism grading standard.

The Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) is an organization that ensures the standard of quality accommodation and conference venues throughout South Africa. Through its star grading system, the TGCSA provides a framework and process for the grading of accommodation establishments. Great news is that the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa will implement its improved accommodation grading system from October 2010.

In addition to assuring holidaymakers of a comfortable stay whenever they book into a professionally assessed, star-graded establishment, the new grading criteria will also mean improved consumer protection.

To improve accommodation-grading standards, all TGCSA assessors are being re-trained and will assess properties using the same set of statistically weighted evaluation criteria.
